About us
A working salon, a training academy, and now a virtual campus
KINGS Queensferry is a hair and beauty salon and training academy in Flintshire, North Wales. Kings Academy has trained hairdressers and beauty therapists here for years, and our Educators have decades of industry experience between them.
Why we built the Virtual Campus
We already run Alternative School Provision for 11 to 16 year olds at the Queensferry academy, and Teen Scene workshops alongside it. The learners who come to us are often the ones for whom a classroom has stopped working.
The limit has always been geography. Families out of range of Queensferry could not reach us, and for some young people leaving the house to attend anywhere is the hardest part of the day.
The Virtual Campus takes the same course, the same Educators and the same kit, and puts them where the learner already is.

These recognitions apply to Kings Academy. The Virtual Campus Diploma is a KINGS certificate and is not separately accredited.

Keeping young people safe online
All Educators hold an enhanced DBS check. Live sessions are never one to one without a second adult present or the session being recorded, and all contact happens through school accounts inside Google Workspace, never through personal messaging.
If you have a concern about a young person, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead directly. You do not need to go through anyone else first.
