A way back into learning for young people who are out of school
The KINGS Virtual Campus Diploma in Hair & Beauty is a one year course taught live from our academy in Queensferry, straight to your young person at home. Real skills, a real kit through the post, and an educator who knows them by name.
£1,200 for the year, or £100 a month · £250 equipment kit paid at enrolment
It is built for learners who cannot be in mainstream school right now, for whatever reason. No cameras on if that is too much. No catching up on years of missed work before you can start.

Then January and April. Places are held for a suitability call before the course begins.

Taught by people who do this for a living
Kings Academy has trained hairdressers and beauty therapists in Queensferry for years. The same educators teach the Virtual Campus.
Small live groups
Sessions run on Google Meet in groups small enough that nobody disappears. Your young person can keep their camera off and still take part in the chat.
A real kit at home
Every learner is posted the same professional kit we use in the academy. Practical tasks are filmed at home and uploaded as evidence for their educator to mark.
One tutor, all year
The same educator runs the weekly one to one, marks the evidence and writes the termly report. You will always know who to ask.
Four steps, and a conversation before anything starts

Enrol online
Give us the student and parent details, choose how you want to pay, and reserve a place.

Suitability call
We call you within two working days to talk through needs, access and whether this is the right course.

Kit posted
Once the call confirms the place, the equipment kit is sent to your home and the Classroom invite goes out.
04
First session
Your young person joins their first live session with the group at the start of the intake.
Who it is for
If school is not working right now
We work with young people who are out of mainstream education for social, behavioural, medical or other reasons. Some have been out for weeks, some for years. We do not ask them to explain why before they can begin.
What we ask for is a device, an internet connection and somewhere to work. If any of that is difficult, tell us on the call and we will see what we can do.
What it costs
Pay the course fee in full, or spread it as £100 a month for twelve months by Direct Debit. The kit is paid in full at enrolment either way. There is no interest and no plan fee.

Enrol and we will talk it through on the suitability call before your young person starts. If it is not right, we cancel and refund in full.
